Epithelial plasticity involved the terminal and transitional stages that occur during epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) mesenchymal-to-epithelial (MET), both are essential at different of early embryonic development have been co-opted by cancer cells to undergo tumor metastasis. These processes regulated multiple instances, whereas post-transcriptional regulation key genes mediated microRNAs is gaining major attention as a common conserved pathway. In this review, we focus on discussing latest findings cellular molecular basis less characterized process MET development, with special role microRNAs. Although take in consideration necessity being cautious when extrapolating obtained evidence, propose some commonalities between progression can shed light into our current understanding complex event might aid design specific therapeutic approaches.
